Campaign Rejection Reasons and Resolutions

If your A2P 10DLC Campaign registration request is rejected for eligible reasons, you need to correct and resubmit your request. For a full list of eligible rejection reasons see below. If eligible, you can re-submit your Campaign registration after correcting the identified content violation by deleting and resubmitting the campaign.

Rejection types eligible for resubmission

Each of the below rejection codes are eligible for resubmission. To resolve these issues, please take the corrective action(s) outlined in the table below, and then re-submit your Campaign registration request with the updated information.

Error CodeRejection categoryRejection reasonCorrection needed

30886

Invalid Campaign Description

Campaign description does not thoroughly explain the purpose of the campaign or description does not match the use case.

Verify that the campaign description is accurate and detailed. If you are an ISV registering a direct offering to your customers, please indicate that in the campaign description. Resubmit campaign for review.

30893

Invalid Sample Message Use Case

Sample messages are either not provided, unclear, or content does not match the campaign use case.

Verify that sample messages are accurate and detailed. Sample messages should reflect actual messages to be sent under campaign and indicate templated fields with brackets. At least one of the sample messages needs to include your business name. Use case and campaign description need to match campaign description.

30892

Invalid Sample Message - Public URL Shorteners

Public URL shorteners are not accepted. The website URL included in the sample messages was either from a public URL shortener or is non-secured.

Remove public URL shorteners from sample messages.

Your sample messages or campaign links use a public URL shortener such as bit.ly or tinyurl. To fix this:

  • Use the full web address instead.
  • A branded short link on your own domain is fine.

30891

Invalid Website URL

Invalid URL was provided for registration. Websites need to be functioning. If this is a registration pre-launch, it needs to be indicated in campaign description.

Verify that provided websites are functioning or detail is provided if the registration is for a pre-launch website.

Chat Widget (Quick Setup) campaigns: the website address on your registration did not load for reviewers, or it points at your form page rather than your business site. To fix this:

  • Submit your main business website, not just the page with your form.
  • Check the address loads with nothing broken, and that it is the same domain as on your brand registration.
  • Check your buttons and links work, and that social icons point to your own pages rather than the social network’s home page.
  • If you have not launched yet, wait until the website is live and then resubmit.

Manual (Self-Serve) campaigns: reviewers could not load the website URL on your campaign or brand. To fix this:

  • Submit your main business website, not just the page with your form. This is the most common cause.
  • Check the address loads with nothing broken, and that it is the same domain as the one on your brand registration.
  • Check your buttons and links work, and that social icons point to your own pages rather than the social network’s home page.
  • If you have not launched yet, say so in your campaign description and add a URL that hosts screenshots or mockups of your in-progress website.

30896

Opt-in Error

Opt-in message workflow is not sufficient for campaign type and consent is required or opt-in is shared with 3rd parties.

Verify opt-in meets CTIA's guidelines. All methods of opt-in need to be listed. If opt-in is collected through a paper form or behind a login, please provide a hosted link to the image of opt-in. If opt-in occurs on a website, please provide a link to the website. The website needs to have a privacy policy and terms of service. Ensure opt-in is not shared with 3rd parties.

Chat Widget (Quick Setup) campaigns: reviewers did not see clear, standalone consent to text messages on your site. To fix this:

  • Remove any other form on the site that collects phone numbers or SMS consent.
  • Link a live privacy policy and terms from the page the widget sits on.
  • Check the widget loads on the website URL on your brand registration, not only on a subpage.

Manual (Self-Serve) campaigns: the opt-in you submitted does not clearly show people agreeing specifically to text messages. To fix this:

  • Add an unticked checkbox for text messages only. It cannot be combined with email signup or with accepting your terms.
  • Put wording beside it that names your business, what you will send, message frequency, that message and data rates may apply, and how to stop.
  • Link a live privacy policy and SMS terms from the same page as the form.
  • Make sure the screenshot and the opt-in description in your campaign show the same form reviewers will find at your URL.

30919

Website lacks business information

Reviewers opened the website on your brand registration and could not tell what your business does or that you send text messages.

Chat Widget (Quick Setup) campaigns: reviewers opened the website on your brand registration and could not tell what your business does or that you send text messages. To fix this:

  • Add your company name, a specific description of what you offer, and contact details.
  • Add more than one page. A single page with no about section and no description of your products will be rejected.
  • Remove any leftover placeholder text like [company name].
  • Link your privacy policy and Terms of Service on the website.

Manual (Self-Serve) campaigns: reviewers could not tell from the website in your campaign what your business does or that you send text messages. To fix this:

  • Submit your main business website, not a landing page or a form page.
  • Add your company name, a specific description of what you offer, and contact details. "Consulting" is not enough. Say what kind, and for whom.
  • Add more than one page. A single page with no about section and no product description will be rejected.
  • Show the registered business name from this campaign somewhere on the site. The footer, terms, or privacy policy is fine.
  • Mention your text messaging programme, and link your privacy policy.
  • Remove any leftover placeholder text like [company name].

30887

Opt-out Error

Campaign indicated collecting and processing consumer Opt-Outs, but the workflow is unclear, missing opt-out keywords or opt-message.

Verify that opt-out workflow is accurate and update Message Flow (labeled as 'How do end-users consent to receive messages' while submitting) description with opt-out process. If opt-out is managed, add opt-out keywords and update opt-out message to include acknowledgement of opt-out request, confirmation that no further messages will be sent, and brand name.

Your campaign says you handle opt-outs, but the process is missing detail, keywords, or a confirmation message. To fix this:

  • Describe the opt-out process in your campaign.
  • Add your opt-out keywords.
  • Make your reply to STOP confirm the request, say no more messages will be sent, and include your business name.

30890

Subscriber Help

HELP message reply does not contain brand name, phone number, or email address.

Verify that subscriber help message contains brand name, phone number, or email address. Message needs to guide customers on who them can contact after replying "help".

When someone replies HELP, your reply does not tell them who to contact. To fix this:

  • Add your business name and either a phone number or an email address to your HELP reply.

30889

Embedded Phone Number

Embedded phone number use is selected, but is not reflective in the sample message.

Verify embedded phone number selection is accurate. Update the Sample Messages with Embedded Phone Number or update Embedded Phone Number selection.

30888

Age Gate Not Present / Not Acceptable

Age gate is not present.

Verify and add a robust age gate to your website or opt-in policy.

Your site or opt-in flow has no age check, which is required if you sell alcohol, tobacco, or anything else age-restricted. To fix this:

  • Ask for a date of birth in your opt-in flow.
  • Put the check inside the flow for signing up for messages, not just somewhere on the site.

30881

Invalid Brand Support Email

Support email is not associated with the brand. The brand support email was either invalid or associated with a public domain email.

Verify brand support email is valid and not associated with a public domain email.

Your contact email is on Gmail, Yahoo, or another free provider, and carriers do not accept those. To fix this:

  • Use an email on your own business domain, ideally matching your website.
  • If your email domain is genuinely different from your website domain, explain why in your campaign description.
  • If you are a sole trader without your own domain, use the same free address that appears publicly on your website or contact page.

30894

Invalid Brand Information

Campaign registration needs to be associated with the brand behind the campaign. If you are an ISV registering a direct offering, campaign description needs to indicate a direct offering.

Verify brand information is valid.

This campaign was not matched to the brand registered for your business. To fix this:

  • Nothing to update in your campaign settings. Contact support with your location ID and we will review the brand link before resubmitting.

30895

Direct Lending - Campaign and Content Attribute Error

Campaign is for direct lending or loan arrangement and is missing content attribute indicating direct lending.

Verify direct lending or loan arrangement is selected for campaign registration. If the campaign is not related to direct lending or loan arrangement, please update the campaign description.

30903

Incorrect Sole Prop Brand Registration

Brand behind the campaign does not meet the small business Sole Proprietor (EIN) criteria set by TCR and mobile carriers. Campaign can not be registered with a Sole Proprietor use case.

Register the brand as a standard brand and register a standard or acceptable campaign use case that aligns with the registered brand’s classification.

An LLC, Inc., Co., or any incorporated business cannot register as a Sole Proprietor. Carriers will keep rejecting this until the registration type changes, so resubmitting alone will not work. To fix this:

  • If you have an EIN, register your brand again as Standard or Low Volume instead of Sole Prop.
  • Then submit your campaign, choosing a use case that fits the new registration.

30907

Website URL Validation Issue

Website URL does not match the campaign description or Brand information.

Confirm the website aligns with the registered Brand and Campaigns.

What your site says does not line up with your registered business or what your campaign describes. To fix this:

  • Make your use case, your sample messages, and your website all describe the same business.
  • Look for contradictions. If your site offers consulting, your sample messages should not be retail promotions.
  • If you trade under a different name, put that name somewhere on the site. The footer, terms, or privacy policy is fine.
  • If you have changed or added a website recently, mention it in your campaign description.

30908

Compliant Privacy Policy Required

A compliant privacy policy was not provided in the Message Flow or could not be located on the website.

Verify privacy policy is accessible to end-users and include a direct link to the privacy policy with the Message Flow.

Chat Widget (Quick Setup) campaigns: reviewers could not find a compliant privacy policy on your website. To fix this:

  • Publish it on a live, direct link on your own domain. A pop-up does not count.
  • Add this sentence, word for word: "No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Information sharing with subcontractors in support services, such as customer service, is permitted."
  • Link it from the page the widget sits on, not only in the footer.

Manual (Self-Serve) campaigns: reviewers could not reach or verify the privacy policy on your campaign. To fix this:

  • Publish it on a live, direct link on your own domain. A pop-up or a modal does not count.
  • Put the link in the footer of your opt-in form.
  • Add the same link to the privacy policy field on your campaign.

30909

CTA Verification Issue

Call to Action with the campaign could not be verified.

Provide complete CTA information and all possible methods end-users consent to messaging.

Chat Widget (Quick Setup) campaigns: the carrier-mandated, A2P-compliant chat widget was not found on the "Brand Website" URL. To fix this:

  • Reviewers use the website URL on your brand registration, not a subpage. Make sure the widget loads at that exact address, in a private browser window, with no login, cookie wall, or 404.
  • Make sure you have not used a customised chat widget instead of the chat widget generated during your A2P submission.
  • Remove any other form on the site that collects phone numbers or SMS consent. Reviewers may have assessed that form instead of the widget.
  • If the site is not live yet, wait until it is before resubmitting.

Manual (Self-Serve) campaigns: reviewers went to the opt-in URL in your campaign and could not find the form, keyword, or consent wording you described. To fix this:

  • Open the exact URL you submitted in a private browser window. It has to load with no login, no cookie wall, and no 404. A link to your home page will not do if the form sits elsewhere.
  • Make the form itself visible on that page, with all required disclosures next to the phone number field.
  • Match your opt-in description in the campaign to what is actually on the page. Reviewers compare the two.
  • If you selected more than one collection method (on paper, over the phone, by QR code, or by text-in keyword), describe every one and attach evidence for each.
  • If your page is not live yet, add a URL that hosts screenshots or a mockup instead.

Rejection types ineligible for resubmission

Each of the below rejection errors are due to forbidden messaging categories, and are therefore ineligible for resubmission. Please note that in addition to A2P 10DLC Messaging content restrictions, any use cases that violate the platform's Acceptable Use Policy or Messaging Policy are also not allowed on the platform, regardless of number/sender type or destination country.

30897

Disallowed Content

Submission included: disallowed content types, such as Loan Marketing, 3rd party debt collection, gambling, sweepstakes, stock alerts, cryptocurrency, risk investments, debt reduction, credit repair, 3rd party lead generation, federally illegal substances.

Privacy policy or Terms associated with the campaign may indicate that SMS opt-in consent or phone numbers are being shared with third parties or affiliates.

30882

Terms & Conditions

Campaign does not meet Terms and Conditions.

Chat Widget (Quick Setup) campaigns: your terms and conditions are missing something carriers require. To fix this:

  • Publish terms on your own website on a live, direct link, and link them from the page the widget sits on.
  • Cover: your business name and what you send, how often, that message and data rates may apply, how to opt out (reply STOP), how to get help (reply HELP), that carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages, and a link to your privacy policy.

Manual (Self-Serve) campaigns: your terms and conditions are missing something carriers require, or reviewers could not reach them. To fix this:

  • Host your Terms of Service on a live, direct link, and put that link in your campaign as well as on the opt-in page.
  • If you prefer, keep the terms inside your privacy policy rather than on their own page, as long as your campaign says that is where they are.

30898

Excessive EIN

Same EIN is used for multiple brands. Only register minimum number of brands per EIN and do not resubmit until brand registration is updated.

The same EIN has been used for more brands than carriers allow. Resubmitting now will not help. To fix this:

  • Reduce the number of brands registered under this EIN before trying again.

Who rejected my A2P 10DLC Campaign Registration?

If a rejected Campaign has a valid campaign_id, it means that our 3rd party vetting partner has rejected it and a vetting charge of $15 has occurred. Resubmissions after a rejected campaign are now $0.

An appeal can be filed for such cases if the rejection was due to a mistake. To appeal a Campaign, please Contact Support to request an appeal.
