What is a Contact Form in Chat To Clients CRM?
A contact form in Chat To Clients CRM is a customizable form used to collect information from leads and customers. Forms can include standard contact details such as name, email, and phone number as well as custom fields that capture information specific to your business. When a new lead submits a Chat To Clients CRM form, a contact record is automatically created so the information can be managed inside the CRM.
Key Benefits of Contact Forms in Chat To Clients CRM
Centralized lead capture: Collect contact details and inquiry information directly inside Chat To Clients CRM instead of transferring submissions manually between tools.
Customizable data collection: Add standard fields or contact custom fields to collect information that matches your business process.
Flexible design options: Use Styles, Themes, and Advanced settings to control the appearance and layout of your form.
Submission notifications: Notify team members when a form is submitted and optionally send an automatic response to the person who completed it.
Workflow automation: Use the Form Submitted workflow trigger to begin follow-up actions after a specified form is completed.
Flexible publishing: Share a direct form link or embed the form into a Chat To Clients CRM or compatible external website.
Form Fields and Custom Fields
Choosing the right fields keeps your contact form focused while ensuring your team receives enough information to respond effectively. Standard fields are useful for common contact information, while custom fields allow you to collect business-specific details such as inquiry type, preferred service, budget range, or preferred contact method.
Common contact-form fields include:
First Name
Last Name
Email
Phone
Message
Drop-downs
Checkboxes
Radio buttons
Contact custom fields
Chat To Clients CRM also supports creating and editing several custom field types directly from the Form and Survey Builder. Depending on the field type, you can add options such as drop downs, checkboxes, radio selections, date pickers, numbers, monetary fields, file uploads, and text fields.

Form Styling and Themes
A consistent form design helps the form feel like a natural part of your website or funnel. Chat To Clients CRM's Styles & Options controls let you adjust layout, spacing, colors, input appearance, buttons, and other design settings, while Themes provide prebuilt visual presets that can help you start with a polished design.
Inside the Form Builder, click Styles & Options to access:
Styles: Adjust layout, colors, backgrounds, spacing, inputs, buttons, borders, and other visual settings.
Themes: Apply a ready-made visual preset and then refine it using Styles.
Advanced: Access additional configuration options for specialized needs.
For additional design options, see Right Sidebar in Form and Survey Builder and Themes in Forms/Surveys.

Form Notifications and Auto Responder
Form notifications help your team respond quickly without repeatedly checking the submissions page. Chat To Clients CRM can send an internal Email Notification when someone submits the form, while Auto Responder can automatically acknowledge the person who completed it.
From the Notifications area of the Form Builder, you can configure:
Email Notification: Sends submission alerts to designated team members or email addresses.
Auto Responder: Sends an automatic email to the person who submitted the form.
Email Notification settings can include details such as the subject, recipient email address, reply-to email, and sender name.
For detailed notification settings, see Email Notifications in Forms and Surveys.
Form Submissions: Where to Access Them and How They Appear
Form submissions give you a centralized view of the information people enter into your form, making it easier to verify responses, review lead details, and confirm that the form is working as expected. Chat To Clients CRM lets you access submissions from the main Forms area or directly from inside the Form Builder.
When viewing submissions from inside the Form Builder, the Submissions tab displays the entries associated with that specific form. This makes it easier to review responses without leaving the form you are currently editing.
To review a form's submissions directly from the Form Builder
- Go to Sites → Forms.
- Open the form you want to review.
- Click the Submissions tab at the top of the Form Builder.
- Use the date filters or search field to locate a specific response.
- Review the submission details shown in the table.
- Adjust the visible columns if you want to display additional captured form fields.
This view is especially useful when troubleshooting or testing a form because you can edit the form, submit a test response, and immediately verify the captured data from the same form workspace.
